We are the only careers service in the country to have been awarded with the Investors in People (IIP) Gold Award.
This puts us in the top one percent of 40,000 companies nationwide to have achieved the award.
We are also an IIP Champion and participated in a variety of activities such as:
- Speaking at conferences and centre workshops
- Engaging with media and at network sessions on behalf of the Investors in People
- Mentoring other organisations
Our CEO Rachel Bendall is an IIP Employer Representative and undertakes a variety of roles including:
- Reviewing samples of assessors' work for quality
- Agreeing recognition of key local organisations
- Inputting to the strategic development of Investors in People South West and Investors in People nationally
We hold the Matrix accreditation – a national award given to organisations for the quality of service they provide. At our last inspection 18 areas of the services we offer were highlighted as being excellent.
We have obtained ISO 9001 based on our quality systems. We are also working towards the information and security standard ISO, and ISO 27001. These are Information Security Standards set out by the International Standards Organisation.
In November 2010 Connect South West successfully achieved the Award for Education Business Excellence (AEBE) and was ranked in the top quartile of Education Business Partnerships who have achieved this award. The AEBE is recognised by the Department for Education and local authorities as the kitemark of excellence and quality for work experience providers.
